Session(s) = you and Ruth working together, and you using any information Ruth gives you.
Adult = the grown-up responsible for you.
Client information = your personal, medical or mental health information that you (or your adult) share with Ruth, and the notes Ruth makes when working with you.

Client Information
To work with you and help keep you safe Ruth has to keep client information about you.
Client information Ruth keeps may include your:
- Personal data (information which can identify you – name, address, date of birth).
- Special category data (information about your racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, health or sexual life, genetic data).
- Reasons for wanting to work with Ruth.
- Past and present health issues (medical and mental).
- Past and present personal, social, financial circumstances, background and family history.
- Contact details (phone number, email address) and availability.
What does Ruth do with client information?
Ruth keeps client information secret, safe and secure when you’re working together, and for as long as the UK law needs Ruth to.
If Ruth thinks you or someone you mention could be at risk or in danger, or you have told her about something illegal or wrong, then Ruth can tell someone else, without your permission.
Ruth can share client information with someone else if you ask Ruth to, but you can change your mind about this at any time.
Your Rights about your Client Information
You have the right to ask Ruth to:
- See your client information and ask for a copy of it.
- To change any incorrect information about you.
- Stop collecting client information about you. If you do this Ruth can’t work with you, and Ruth would still keep your client information for as long as UK law tells her to.
If you are worried about your information or have any questions about it contact Ruth (see the How to Contact Ruth part of this policy). If you do not want to speak to Ruth, you can call the people who are in charge of these laws, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), on 0303 123 1113.
