Psychotherapy Theories

The psychotherapy theories I draw upon include:

By exploring and understanding the subconscious meanings and motivations behind your problematic thoughts, emotions, and behaviours, you are then able to change them to more beneficial thoughts, emotions and behaviours.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT):

You explore and understand how your beliefs and thoughts link to your emotions and behaviour, in order to change them so you can more easily and positively deal with stressful situations in your life.

Humanistic or Person Centred Approach:

You are encouraged to think about yourself more positively and to become more self-aware, which then allows you to make rational choices and develop to your maximum potential.
